What happens to your loved one?
Once permission is granted, Cremations Direct transfer your loved one into our care. Our certificate IV qualified morticians ensure that your loved one is cared for with dignity and respect.
How quickly can the cremation occur?
Once our funeral team have been issued the medical cause of death by the doctor or the coroner has released the deceased into our care, cremations direct can organise our doctor to come in and issue the form 4 permission for cremation. Cremation can take place the next day.
Cremated remains or ashes are generally ready for collection within 48 business hours of cremation taking place. You are welcome to collect the ashes or Cremations Direct can deliver these back to you.
If you wish to travel with the ashes via air, interstate or overseas, we organise all the relevant documentation required. We can also organise postage of ashes for you via registered post, if you want the ashes to be posted overseas or long distances.
Can I visit your facility?
Yes you can. Simply contact us and we will organise an appointment time for you. Our main mortuary facility is centrally located at Coopers Plains.
Will you come to my home to make arrangements?
Simply contact Cremations Direct to make an appointment time and we will meet you in the comfort of your home to make funeral arrangements.
Can I organise all paperwork online or via phone?
Our cert IV qualified funeral staff are happy to meet with you at one of our office locations or at the family home. However, if you prefer to make all arrangements online or via phone, we can email you all the relevant documentation or take the relevant information via a phone conversation. It is not uncommon for Cremations Direct to organise all arrangements via email or phone.
Can I view my loved one prior to cremation?
Viewing can take place at the funeral venue or at our funeral facility at Coopers Plains prior to the service. If you wish to view your loved one, simply contact us and we will organise this for you.
